About This Woman

Justice 4 Janet Mejia! A few days ago, I covered the case of this woman. She had been declared missing. Under “suspicious circumstances.” Foul play had been suspected from the beginning. Janet Mejia was a graduate of Sacramento State. This 28 year old woman was found deceased on Thursday. Two days after she was last seen. On April 13, 2017. Her remains had been found in Placer County, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department said.

How She Was Found

Justice 4 Janet Mejia! Officers had found her body about 7:00 P.M.,. They found it off the roadway. Janet Mejia was found in the area of Watt Avenue and Dyer Lane. The earliest findings indicate that Mejia was shot. This is the conclusion of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s investigators. This young woman had disappeared on Tuesday morning, two days before her remains were found. She went missing after leaving her home in the 7200 block of Pepperwood Knoll Lane. This was on her way to work in Roseville.

Ongoing Investigation

Deputies tell us that Janet had never shown up for work. That day. It was Wednesday afternoon, a day after Janet went missing, that her car was found. It had been abandoned in the Arden-Arcade area. According to her family, Mejia’s disappearance was out of character. This is what investigators tell us. Homicide investigators don’t believe she was murdered by accident. And they currently have a person of interest has been arrested. But this individual is in custody because of unrelated criminal charges. The Sheriff’s Department says forensic testing is pending.

It’s Not Over

Janet’s case remains open. No longer a missing case, this is a homicide case. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department is investigating janet’s case as a homicide case. And they can’t do it all by themselves. This woman’s family is devastated. Let’s help end their nightmare. And help them get answers about what happened to their loved on. So let’s keep sharing this case until we reach the person whose tips can capture Janet’s killer. And if anyone has information?
