These remains were found on August 11, 2014, in Phillipsburg, Montana. They were found in Granite County. These remains were found at Welcome Creek in the Wolf Creek Wilderness area. Investigators cannot determine the age of the person whom these remains belong to.Nor can they determine the gender or race of these remains. And investigators cannot determine the height or weight of the person to whom these remains belong. The body conditions of the remains cannot be recognized as these were skeletal remains.

  1. Hi Lisa, I think your welcome creek doe is Nick Welchlin from Billings Montana. His camping gear and rig were found at East Fork camp ground. I have notified NAMUS and did receive a call from the officer assigned to the case. I hope it is him, so his family can have some closure – he has been missing since September 6, 2002.
