Victim Sapone was taken to an area hospital where he died of injuries. Detectives believe Sapone was shot during a robbery. Victim #2 (a passenger) was not injured. Relative to this Homicide Detectives need help locating a possible suspect vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by at least two suspects during the time of the incident, who are described below:

Suspect 1: African-American male, early to mid-30’s, 5’9” to 5’10”, medium build, medium complexion, shoulder length
braids or dreadlock styled hair, wearing Grey hooded sweatshirt, armed with a handgun

Suspect 2: African-American female, late 20’s early 30’s, 5’5” to 5’6”, medium build, medium complexion, wearing a
baseball cap (turned backwards), and a blue jacket with red details and/or piping

Detectives believe the vehicle is a silver, 2008-2013 Ford Edge SUV, and may have an Illinois State Temporary Tag affixed to the back. James Anthony Sapone was an artist. It happened two months ago. I’m aware that is case has a racial element to it, and some people may view it through that prism. But Sapone happened to be Caucasian, and the unidentified suspects happened to be African-American. It would be every bit as egregious if the suspects were also Caucasian. Sapone’s loved ones are devastated and cannot grieve properly and heal unless they know who killed Sapone. Who are the two unidentified suspects who police believe are responsible for the death of James Anthony Sapone?
