Find missing Rachel Marie Yates! Rachel Marie Yates has been missing Since June 10, 2006. She is missing from Lake Mary, Florida. Rachel is classified simply as a missing person. Some agencies classify her as endangered. She was born in the year 1980. At the time of her disappearance, Rachel was 25 years old. Her current age is 36 years old. Rachel Marie Yates is a Caucasian female. Yates’ height range is 5’6″ tall. Her weight range is 125 to 200 pounds. Rachel’s hair is described as light brown to auburn. Reportedly, she may have blonde or red highlights in her hair. Her eyes are described as blue or brown. Some agencies spell her first name “Rachael.”

Rachel Marie Yates may have an unspecified tattoo on her lower back. She has a tattoo of a butterfly of a butterfly on her right shoulder. She wears a size 9 or 10 shoe. When last seen, Rachel was wearing a small diamond ring, possibly on her ring finger. She was reportedly carrying a Curves duffel bag or backpack. Yates doesn’t normally wear earrings or a watch. There is little description of the clothes she was wearing with these accessories when last seen.

Before Her Disappearance

It was June 10, 2006 in the Lake Mary, Florida area. Rachel Marie Yates at the corner of El-Cam and Providence. Rachel had gone to a party and then allegedly took a car without permission. Then two male party guests came up to her. They knew her and convinced her to give up the car. Reportedly, they drove the car away. And then they left her standing in the roadside at Elkcam Boulevard and Providence Boulevard. Rachel Marie Yates was not heard from again. Before her disappearance, Yates had spoken of plans to travel to Alabama. Rachel stated that she planned to travel there with an African-American male.

The identity of Rachel’s proposed companion is not known. The individual remains unidentified. Authorities are not sure that Rachel went to Alabama or not. SHe has a Florida state Driver’s License but did not own a vehicle at the time of her disappearance. Some agencies give the date of Yates’s disappearance as July 26, 2006. And they give the place as Winter Springs, Florida. Winter Springs police are investigating her disappearance.

Unequal Missing Persons Searches

This missing young woman is one more sad example that missing persons searches are unequal. She has been missing for 12 years. Yet few results come up for Rachel Marie Yates. Her case information is grossly limited, as is the case with many missing persons. Facebook searches bring up even fewer results. When I tried it, only one result came up, and it was a post based on her Charley Project profile. It was not until the day of this draft, that I even knew about the disappearance of Rachel Marie Yates. I have been unable to locate any of her family online. And she is classified just as simply missing person despite the reported circumstances of her disappearance.
