Jake Allen Latiolais was last seen on the Interstate 10 bridge. He was last seen over the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on August 29, 2014. Latiolais was sitting along the bridge rail next to his pick-up truck. Someone spoke to him at 2:00 A.M. And he said he was en route to West Baton Rouge. But it never arrived there. During the early morning hours, police got an anonymous call saying someone had jumped from the bridge, 175 feet to the river below. They searched the river, but couldn’t find a body. They only found Latiolais’s truck, still running. His cellular phone and cigarettes were there, as was a trolling motor he’d just bought. But his wallet and crutches were missing. He has never been heard from again.

Appeal

Jake Allen Latiolais has been missing for over three years. His family,in their search for Jake, have turned to a private investigator and have set up a Facebook page other than the one they used to have. Apparently someone, wanting to cover up a crime, staged this young man’s disappearance as a suicide. His family believe this. Or did Jake take his life? But nothing indicates that he had a motive to commit suicide. Jake’s daughter, depending on her age at the time, may be asking questions now. No details seem available about a girl or wife. Jake’s mother apparently is leading in the search for her son. Jake’s loved ones need answers badly! Their nightmare must be unbearable. No matter what or who caused his Jake’s disappearance, he needs and deserves to be brought home to his family, friends, and community.
