Diamond Bynum is an African-American female. Her hair is black and her eyes brown.

Diamond Bynum walks with a pronounced limp. She had gold highlights in her hair at the time of her disappearance.
When last seen, Bynum was wearing a white top and blue jeans. Diamond Bynum has a genetic condition called Prader-Willi Syndrome. Her symptoms include a mental disability and short stature. Bynum also experiences a constant feeling of hunger. She has the mental capacity of a five- to seven-year-old. And this makes it difficult for her to communicate with others.

Diamond Bynum’s family understands her. However,she knows her father’s phone number. Bynum needs medication.
But she doesn’t have with her. And when she doesn’t take it, she develops behavior problems. And she may become
a danger to herself.

Circumstances

Diamond and her nephew, King, disappeared from Gary, Indiana, on July 25, 2015. Bynum lived with her father and stepmother. King lived with his mother. He visited his grandparents and his aunt every weekend. Diamond and King were last seen at Bynum’s home in the 500 block of Matthews Street. Both were last seen at approximately 10:20 A.M. That was when Bynum’s stepmother took a nap. When she woke up at 11:00 A.M., her daughter and grandson were gone. It’s believed that they walked away from the residence. THat was just to go to a local store.

After Disappearance

Diamond Bynum’s family had moved to Gary, Indiana in February 2013. Bynum was still unfamiliar with the area. It’s believed that King may have gotten lost. Bynum’s family stated that it’s uncharacteristic of her to go more than a few blocks from home. There were reported sightings of the pair in Gary, Hammond, and Chicago. This was after their disappearances. None of these sightings have been confirmed. There is limited information about any police criminal investigative efforts.
