David Gipson Smith is a Caucasian male. He’s described as 6’4″ and 230 pounds. He has brown eyes (“beautiful dark eyes,” according to his family. He has dark blond hair. David has several tattoos- one on his chest. It can be viewed in the picture above. David also has tattoos on his arms and sides. He also has tattoos on his torso of his body. David also has his ears gauged. There has been no activity on his phone or social media since he went missing. His family describe him as kind and gentle, willing to do anything to help a person in need.

David is the son of Pastor Doug Smith. His father is senior pastor for the Sharptown United Methodist Church. It’s located on two campuses in New Jersey. His church website hasn’t been updated, but his congregation’s Facebook page is updated.

David’s mom made her most recent update on the Facebook page for her son. Dated for September 1, 2017, it sheds much light on David’s missing circumstances and the investigation into his disappearance. His family have not ruled anything out. THey believe that David may even be living as a homeless person.

As of today, David has been missing for 26 days. There has been no provable sitings since August 6, no usage of his phone since August 6th at 12:19 am. and no communication on any social media since August 6th.We (David’s family) are extremely worried. We are asking anyone who has physically seen him to confirm your siting by taking a picture of who you think might be him. IF you know somerhing, please call the police or his family.
We believe he is still in the Ellicott City and Catonsville area or possibly Baltimore, or Annapolis, MD. There also some theories that believe he could be.trying to get back south to Florida. (Noe all subscribe to this theory)
There have been lots of questions surrounding why his car was left parked in front of an aquaintance’s home. Some of these questions cannot be answered because this is a criminal investigation. His family is now in possession of the car. The police are actively pursuing each and every lead regarding David’s whereabouts. The problem is that this is a huge area to cover. We are once again asking that you go to Missing: David Gipson Smith Facebook page and take it upon yourselves to print the flyers and circulate them around these locations. He may be eating at local food kitchens and getting food from local pantries. He may be sleeping in homeless camps in any one of these locations, or turning to churches for assistance or found someone to take him in. We are leaving no stone unturned, so to speak. But we can only do so much; the police can only do so much and we are not from the area, so don’t know where those types of locations may be. He is on the National Missing Person’s Database. Please print the flyers, tape them up anywhere you can or give them to local establishments (7 Eleven, McDonalds, Liquor Stores, Grocery stores.)David stands out in a crowd. He is 6’4 1/2″ tall, beautiful dark eyes, dark blonde hair, a kind and gentle soul and would do anything to help someone in need. IF YOU KNOW SOMETHING, DON’T BE AFRAID TO CALL US OR THE POLICE, HIS LIFE MAY BE IN DANGER AND YOU COULD BE THE ONE THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP US. GOD’S GRACE AND PEACE BE WITH YOU. Don’t approach him, rather call the Howard County Police in MD at 410 313 STOP (7867) or 856 769 1190….Blessings
