He was supposed to check out for a backpacking trip.
But he never made it and was never seen again.
Weather is extreme at this time of year.

Find missing backpacker Alan Chow! Alan Chow was last seen on the morning of Saturday, February 17, 2018. He was seen at the entrance of Hetch Hetchy Trail at Yosemite National Park in Yosemite, California.. He was planning to hike the Hetch Hetchy trail. He failed to check out on Feb. 18. He was possibly wearing the blue backpack with gray straps and black framed glasses. The temperatures was since dipped below 0 and snow is expected. Alan was last seen at Hetch Hetchy entrance on February 17. Alan Chow may be an unknown minority. He is 36 years old. Alan is described as 5’8″ tall and 140 pounds. His hair is black and his eyes are brown.

Alan Chow is missing. It doesn’t seem that this is a case where foul play is suspected. Instead, it is extremes in weather and environmental hazards. Still, many comments on the thread on the Yosemite National Park about Alan Chow, are toxic. One thing the comments show is that, at least Alan Chow’s case is receiving attention. There have been sad outcomes with missing hikers lately. Alan’s family probably are aware of this and are going through a nightmare. Have information about him?
