Arlene Day Abbas has been missing for over 29 years. It is odd that any mom would voluntarily leave her children with her ex-husband. But she had converted to Islam and that may have influenced her. Also, she had mental health issues at the time of her disappearance. Her three children are adults now. They no doubt are missing their mother and wonder where she is. Arlene’s case, unfortunately, has received very little attention. So it is only recently that I learned about her and her case. There are thousands of missing persons and many more cases are added every year. And so it is impossible to give every case deserved attention. But to every family that misses a loved one, their loved one is unique. Not just a case. Arlene’s family deserve answers about what happened to her.
