Amanda Dawn Gallion has been missing for almost 21 years. She is a prime a tragic example of why runaways cannot be assumed to be safe. The majority of runaways are found safe. However, a number of runaways are never found. And others are not found alive. A more recent and tragic example is Jholie Moussa. So the disappearances of runaways ought to be taken seriously. Even if a child, teen, or adult leaves voluntarily, they can meet with foul play. If anyone has been missing for over two years, they ought to be considered endangered by default.
